Travel Highlight
Welcome to New Road Travel and Tours (NRTT). We offer various packages related to adventure, sightseeing, city tours, etc. If you’re planning a tour within Nepal, just remember us. NRTT will arrange everything possible for your journey. We don’t only develop or design the package; we also assist you in making your tour plan for a better experience.
If you’re more into adventure, then NRTT offers the Everest Base Camp Trek package. The destination is commonly known by its abbreviation, EBC. It is one of the most famous, popular, and commercial treks, similar to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek and Mardi Himal Trek.
The itinerary is designed for 13 nights and 14 days; however, this trek can also be completed more quickly depending on your strength, pace, and trekking experience. Nonetheless, we believe that 13 nights and 14 days is neither too long nor too short for this journey.
EBC is the point from where mountaineers around the world begin their expedition to the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848.86 m above sea level). It is located in the Solukhumbu district of Koshi Province and is situated at an altitude of 5,364 m.
The highest point of the trek is Kalapatthar, which is at an elevation of 5,555 m, where you'll encounter a clear and close view of Mt. Everest. During your Everest Base Camp Trek, you not only reach the height of 5,555 m and witness Mt. Everest clearly but also get an opportunity to learn about the culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people.
Regarding the Sherpa people, they mostly reside in the eastern mountain region of Nepal, which is why many of them are involved in the country's mountaineering sector. They are Buddhist by religion and very friendly in nature. Additionally, they are extremely helpful to other adventurers during mountain expeditions.

Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu to Phakding (2,650 m)
- To reach Phakding, we take a 40-minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After reaching Lukla, our trekking begins. However, during peak seasons in spring (March, April, and May) and autumn (September, October, and November), direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla can be challenging due to high air traffic. Therefore, at midnight, we take a 5–6-hour drive to reach Manthali, Ramechhap, from where we can catch a 20-minute flight to Lukla.
- After arriving at Tenzing Hillary Airport, you will have breakfast and commence the first day of the trek to Phakding by walking for 3–4 hours. We follow the path along the Dudh Koshi River, which leads us to our destination. We descend to a small village, Ghat (2,530 m), passing through Chaurikharka (2,713 m). - After having breakfast, we’ll head toward Lobuche, passing through stone memorials and the Khumbu glacier. Regarding the stone memorials, these are built in memory of the climbers who lost their lives during the expedition. We’ll arrive in Lobuche after 5–6 hours of walking. Dinner will be served in the evening. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Accommodation: Bed, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 8: Lobuche to EBC via Gorak Shep (5,190m)

Accommodation: Bed, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 11: Namche Bazar to Lukla

Day 12: Lukla to Kathmandu
- The condition of the flight, either direct or from Manthali, is mentioned above. Therefore, we will depart for Kathmandu accordingly.
