Jungle Safari Chitwan

Chitwan national park is home to over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and more than 450 species of birds. Important animals on this park include’s one-horned Asian Rhinoceros, Gaur, wild Bison, sloth Bear, four species of Deer, the Rhesus Monkey and the black-faced Langur, the spotted Leopard, Royal Bengal Tiger, the fish-eating Gharial, the flesh-eating Marsh Crocodile and the Gangetic Dolphin among many others. The elephant breeding centre is another attraction of the park where one can see elephants of different ages including several baby elephants . A big number of birds inhabit the national park making it an ideal place for bird watching.
The important activities offered in Chitwan include’s elephant safaris through the jungle in search of wildlife, nature walks, jungle drives to spot animals, canoe rides to see crocodiles & water-birds, tribal village visits  and visits to elephant breeding centre etc.  In the evenings, slide shows on Nepalese flora & fauna and Tharu tribal folk dances are also held.

This tour can be included not only on your regular Nepal tour but also as an extension tour at the end of your trek.

Schedule

2 Nights 3 Days Itinerary
Day 01: Fly or Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Meeting upon arrival at the bus station or at the Bharatpur Airport. Transfer to the resort/hotel.Refreshment drink and briefing about the accommodation and the facilities.After lunch our manager will brief you about the program of the followingdays. After a short rest, visit to the Tharu village and the National ParkVisitors Center. Sunset view from the riverbank. Dinner. Slide-show onwildlife.

Day 02: Dugout canoe trip followed by a Nature Walk Program or a visit to the Elephant Breeding Farm. Enjoy an ox-cart ride or a jeep drive back to the resort.After refreshment you can wash the elephants and swim with them in the Rapti River, Lunch. Elephant back safari, Dinner. Tharu dancing performance.

Day 03: After tea or coffee you will go for a bird watching tour. B/F. Transfer to the bus station or the Bharatpur Airport.
